Teachers Section![]() Information for Schools and TeachersIt is very important that schools provide children with as much information as possible regarding waste minimisation and recycling. Children of today are tomorrow's consumers and decision makers. By informing them about waste issues at school it will encourage them to start them thinking about their wider responsibilities to both society and the environment. Hopefully in generations to come recycling will become a normality in every day life.
In the coming months South Lakeland District Council hope to perform presentations about waste minimisation and recycling to community groups, schools and other local organisations. If you would like an officer to visit your group to make a presentation or would like to find out more please contact the Waste Minimisation and Recycling Team at SLDC direct on the form below or telephone on 0845 050 4434.
